Rayman Legends is a platform video game with single and multiplayer modes developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. The Rayman is a popular series that its first release was on 1995. This game is the fifth main title in this series. Its released dates return to end of 2013 and early 2014. The game released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, PlayStation Vita and also Nintendo Switch that described as the ‘Definitive Edition’. Michel Ancel, Rayman’s creator about Nintendo Switch version said: “Rayman Legends is like a board game. It means playing with your friends in the same room, and this console is perfect for that. It’s the concept of console we’ve been waiting for a long time. An HD console, powerful, portable.”
Rayman Legends received critical acclaim upon release. Critics loved this game. Many of them praised game’s visuals, level design, controls, soundtrack, overall gameplay, and the content. Some of them called it one of the best platform video games ever made, and the game won several awards. The game sold modestly, despite fairly sluggish sales in the early months of its release.
“Rayman Legends is like a board game,” Ancel said about Nintendo Switch version. “It means playing with your friends in the same room, and this console is perfect for that. It’s the concept of console we’ve been waiting for a long time. An HD console, powerful, portable.”
Rayman Legends has many characters that you can play with any of them provided that unlock them. Rayman, Globox, Teensies and new female character Barbara are characters that you can control them. And don’t forget Murfy the greenbottle that apears as an assist character. Murfy can perform various actions such as cutting through ropes, activating mechanisms, grabbing hold of enemies and assisting in gathering Lums.
Lums are small shining insects that you need to collect them to reach some achievement like unlocking new characters. Lums can be collected by touching them, defeating enemies, or freeing captured Teensies. Teensies are creatures that are imprisoned and you should free some of them in every mission. Collecting Teensies unlocks new worlds, which can be played in any order once they are available. During the missions you face many different monsters that you should defeat them or sometimes you should escape from them.
The game continue on the style of gameplay from Rayman Origins and it simulates game for up to four players (depends on console). The game features over 120 various levels that you can go solo or with your friends.
Boss fights are some of the highlights of Rayman Legends. They don’t reinvent the platforming boss battle, but these encounters show off some of the best visuals tricks, putting on a spectacular show. The Luchador, for example, is a towering mass of muscle who swings a huge hand and constantly launches his tiny opponents into the air. As I figured out his patterns and thumped him on the head, the reactions from the surrounding crowd sold the atmosphere of a big prizefight.
Graphics and Sound
Rayman Legends is the most beautiful 2D platformer we’ve ever seen. The hand-painted art is the perfect reflection of the game’s quirky imagination, and when it’s time to throw out a lavish set-piece it never disappoints. Considering how gorgeous the artistic design is and how smoothly Rayman runs, this is definitely a good thing.
Music is a central part of the experience, and even when Legends isn’t dishing out its signature themed levels the score and effects are a joy. You’ll here echoes of popular classics and rock hits, and it all works together to bolster the atmosphere of creative anarchy that pervades the entire game. one of the most important things in Rayman Legends is the music matches with gameplay that make player happy and enthusiastic to continue the game.
At last we must thank you to be with us and as soon as we possible, we will talk about this series and upcoming Rayman games.
